Dreaming Activates Authority

Psalm 23:1-6

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

David was a man who was very acquainted with feeling alone, rejected, abandoned, humiliated, and misunderstood.  He was not only rejected by his own family, but an entire city!  He was ostracized and often denied shelter, hence being out in the elements with the sheep.  Two of the premier gifts that helped David to achieve high success was his ability to IMAGINE and DREAM.  Did you know that you are a manifestation of the Father’s dream and imagination?  In fact, all of creation was birthed from the concept of imagination and dreaming.

Dreaming with God activates authority in us to achieve high success, defy odds, and accelerate us into promise fulfilment and gateways of new supernatural realms in God’s glory.  Defining imagination and dreaming by the world’s standards or from religious ideologies would only lead us to reject these gifts that our Father graciously bestows upon us.  Numbers 12:6 indicates:

Then He said,

“Hear now My words:

If there is a prophet among you,

I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision;

I speak to him in a dream.

This ability to see (imagine) and dream is available to ALL believers in Christ.  There are many examples of this stretched all throughout the Bible.  Now while David spent an exorbitant amount of time with the sheep, it was not in vain.  During these moments of separation, God trained David in the dream realm.  This time with God was the bedrock of his authority as King of Israel!  Here are some barriers that David had to overcome in order navigate the dream world with God:

  1. Spirit of Religion
  2. Spirit of Dishonor
  3. Spirit of Rejection
  4. Spirit of Poverty
  5. Spirit of Infirmity
  6. Spirit of Pride
  7. Spirit of Fear

We will delve more into these areas next week!  Stay tuned.
